Established on May 9, 1987, through an official notification, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell has a rich legislative history dedicated to its cause. Following the strategic promulgation of an Ordinance in 2010, the institution further strengthened its statutory foundation with the official passage of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell Act on April 3, 2014.
