Strong, Stable Pakistan Can Guarantee Kashmir’s Freedom From Indian Subjugation: AJK President
Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry said that a strong and stable Pakistan could guarantee Kashmir’s freedom from India’s forced and unlawful occupation. He made these remarks while addressing a crowded press conference in Bradford, UK. Terming demographic change as part of the BJP’s policy to marginalize the indigenous population, he said that the Kashmiri people wouldn’t allow any such thing to happen in Kashmir.
Kashmir’s Settlement Central To Bilateral Ties With India: AJK PM
Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas has said settlement of the Kashmir dispute in line with the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris was central to improving the bilateral relationship between India and Pakistan. The AJK premier said that talks with India, at any level, would be meaningless without the participation of the Kashmiris. While referring to Indian rulers’ track record of backpedaling on their commitments, PM Ilyas pointed out that the UN Security Council resolutions provided a comprehensive roadmap to amicably settle the longstanding Kashmir dispute but India had consistently breached commitments to implement those resolutions, thus causing serious threats to the peace of the region. The Kashmiris, he said, were not averse to the relationship between Islamabad and New Delhi but the revival of ties with India at the cost of Kashmiris’ blood was unacceptable to them.

Widespread Protests Held Against Land Eviction Drive In IIOJK
In IIOJK, protests were held in different areas against the land eviction drive unleashed by the Indian authorities to effect a demographic change. Scores of people including civil society members and political parties gathered in Islamabad, Kupwara, Rajouri, Poonch, Kistwara, and Ramban areas and raised slogans against the draconian order issued by the BJP regime. The protesters demanded the rollback of the anti-Kashmir move. The BJP regime has started snatching Kashmiris’ land and properties in the name of an anti-encroachment drive in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir which is another manifestation of the colonial-settler mindset of the Modi government in occupied Kashmir, they said.
