Jailed APHC Chairman Masarat Alam Butt Hailed For His Courage, Steadfastness

The Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has hailed its illegally incarcerated Chairman and All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman Masarat Alam Butt for his courage and steadfastness. Masarat Alam Butt has spent half of his life in Indian jails for his commitment to the Kashmir cause and for representing the aspirations of the Kashmiris for the right to self-determination according to United Nations Security Council resolutions. The JKML in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the jailed leader was detained 39 times under black law Public Safety Act (PSA), quashed by the high court of the territory. The JKML strongly condemned massive crackdown operations in the territory as the Indian troops along with members of Village Defense Guards continued house-to-house searches of the residences of Muslims for the second week in several villages and towns of Poonch and Rajouri of Pir Panchaal range, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban of Chenab Valley and Reasi and Kathua districts.

Pakistan Calls for Implementation Of UNSC Resolutions On Kashmir

Pakistan has called for the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions on the Kashmir and Palestine disputes calling for the right to self-determination of people in both places. Taking part in a debate on ‘the Rule of Law among Nations’ at the Security Council, Pakistan’s permanent representative to the UN Ambassador Munir Akram, said the Council needs to actively promote the resolution of conflicts and disputes that will ensure international peace and security. He said the Security Council has not been able to secure consistent implementation of its own resolutions relating to Palestine or Jammu and Kashmir so the right to self-determination of people there has been suppressed brutally and foreign occupation has been allowed to persist over several decades.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has urged the international community to take cognizance of the Modi-led fascist Indian regime’s unilateral actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) aimed at undermining the disputed status of the territory. He called upon the UN to settle the Kashmir dispute by giving the Kashmiris their right to self-determination.

‘IIOJK People Witnessing Indian Tyranny For Last Over Seven Decades’

The people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) have been witnessing Indian tyranny for the last seven decades.   A report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, said that though the Indian troops have been responding to cries of the Kashmiris for freedom with bullets and bayonets yet they have failed to subdue the people of the occupied territory. The report maintained that the Kashmiris had kept the flame of freedom alive despite facing India’s limitless atrocities, adding that Modi must bear in mind that the military might has never cowed down any nation into submission. The report said New Delhi will eventually fail in its wicked plans against Muslims in IIOJK and urged the world community to come to rescue the Kashmiris from Indian tyranny.
