Over 50 Youth Arrested In Ongoing Casos In Rajouri

Indian troops have arrested more than 50 innocent youth in the name of questioning in Rajouri district. According to Kashmir Media Service, the arrests were made during the violent cordon and search operations jointly conducted by Indian army, police and Central Reserve Police Force in over two dozen villages in Rajouri district. Teams of the Special Operations Group of Indian police have been deployed at designated locations.

Indian Authorities Intensify Restrictions In IIOJK Ahead Of Republic Day Celebrations

Indian authorities have intensified restrictions in the name of high security across the territory, ahead of Indian Republic Day celebrations. Indian forces have been deployed in all areas along the Line of Control and night patrolling is being conducted all districts. Night curfew has been imposed in Samba district for two months, officials. Checking and frisking have also been increased in Jammu and Kathua districts.

Jammu Is Worst Victim Of BJP’s Political Gimmick: Mehbooba Mufti

The Peoples Democratic Party President, Mehbooba Mufti, has said that Jammu is the worst victim of Bharatiya Janata Party’s political gimmick. Addressing a party meeting in Jammu, Mehbooba Mufti said Jammu, once considered as the economic hub of IIOJK, is the worst victim of BJP’s political gimmick and the saffron party is surrendering interests of people from the region to benefit big corporate houses of India.

 

Protest In Srinagar Against Delhi-Run IIOJK Regime

In IIOJK, protests were held in Mehjoor Negar area of Srinagar against the brutal anti-people measures of the Delhi-run regime including rowing scarcity of water, power shortage, inflation and unemployment. People hit roads at Mehjoor Nagar, uptown Srinagar, and blocked traffic. Both men and women who were part of the protest expressed serious concern over the step-motherly treatment to the residents by the Modi regime. “When we have been already suffering immensely due to water and power shortage, inflation and unemployment,” the occupation regime “has now added more to our woes as only four kg ration is available for a consumer at a ration depot,” a protester, Muhammad Ismail said.

Shehla Rashid To Face Trial For Tweets About Indian Army’s Atrocities In IIOJK

Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has granted sanction to prosecute former vice president of Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union (JNUSU) Shehla Rashid Shora for her tweets on the Indian Army. Officials at the Delhi L-G office told the media that the sanction is related to an FIR registered against her in 2019 at the Special Cell police station on the basis of a complaint by an advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava. They said the sanction has been granted under section 196 of the Criminal Procedure Code, which relates to prosecution for offenses against the State and for criminal conspiracy to commit such offenses.

In IIOJK, people held protests in Jammu against the anti-people policies of the authorities. People took out a massive protest rally in Jammu city against the power cuts in the winter season. The protesters were carrying oil lamps and ‘Kangri’ to represent the fact that these things have to be used by the citizens in order to attain light and keep themselves warm in the peak of the winter season as the Power Development Department (PDD) has failed to provide power to the people as per schedule due to which the general public is suffering badly. Rehbar-e-Janglat (ReJ) employees who have been holding a sit-in protest outside the office of BJP in Jammu for the past many days continue their protest in favor of their demands.
